Waterfront Petroleum Terminal Company is the cornerstone in an array of five closely related operations, all working together under the ownership and Presidency of Harry Warner to provide full energy services.
These companies include Waterfront Petroleum Terminal Company, Warner Petroleum Corporation, WC Trucking, Inc., Chicago Vessel Fueling Company and the Rouge Dock Company. Each of these closely related operations brings strength to the overall mission of delivering full energy services.
Waterfront is a regional wholesale marketer of commercial, marine and industrial fuel products and services. Waterfront has achieved successful growth and loyal customers by providing value, integrity, and innovation in the products and services it delivers. Over the years, Waterfront has grown into a prime supplier of various fuel products to industrial and governmental accounts throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois, supported by it’s affiliate companies’ investments in distribution assets, including transportation fleets and tank storage facilities located in Detroit, Dearborn, and Central Michigan, and in the Port of Indiana and East Chicago.
We recently celebrated our 30th year in the industrial fuels marketing and transportation business. The company was founded in 1976 by William L. Warner, and was formed as a sales vehicle to the markets and for the products Mr. Warner had gained vast knowledge of over his prior 25 years in the petroleum refining and marketing business. Company sales in the early years were predominately heavy fuels (residual fuels) and distillates to industrial and utility accounts. Through the years, Warner has sharpened its expertise in those fuels and now has become a leader in a large regional market, offering the full range of refined fuel products.
Today, Waterfront Petroleum is headed by 2nd generation owner Harry C. Warner and a veteran marketing and management team exceeding 100 years of combined petroleum industry experience. Waterfront’s market offerings include the entire crude-based refined fuels spectrum; from propane, gasoline, and diesel at the top end, to residual fuels and asphalt at the bottom end, and everything in between. Most recent growth has come by way of large volume Natural Gas supply to metropolitan and utility accounts. Waterfront is actively developing opportunities in the emerging wholesale electricity, and bio-fuels markets.
As part of its customer service commitment Waterfront also provides downstream distribution services, transportation solutions, consultation, design, equipment and financing solutions for customer applications.
Company customers include electrical utilities, steel producers, road builders, vessels on the Great Lakes, as well as U.S. Governmental, Department of Defense, and municipal accounts.
Growth in all these markets has been possible not only through least-cost pricing, but through the use of our infrastructure investments and the application of innovative, sound ideas; combined to bring optimal value to the customer.
Customer support is enhanced and made possible by our investments in strategic downstream distribution facilities and infrastructure including: |
